The long long time story from the name “Dajie”

Established in 2007, Da Jie Niang Dou Fu gained acclaim in The Straits Times, Berita Minggu, and Lian He Wan Bao. Finalists in “Hawker Master Chef 2012” and featured at Singapore Favourite Food Village, we rebranded in 2022 to Dajie Makan Place. Renowned for our commitment to excellence, we specialize in authentic Halal Chinese cuisine like Niang Dou Fu, Chicken Rice, Mala Hotpot and Mookata, tailored for our community.

Our story
Our journey so far
Our founder explored bustling markets and hidden alleys across China, uncovering cherished dishes such as Mala Hotpot and Hainan Chicken Rice, each crafted with centuries-old recipes and local ingredients.
Beyond food, people made a profound impact—passionate chefs, hospitable vendors, and fellow travelers bonding over food and culture. Witnessing how meals fostered joy and camaraderie, whether families at dinner or friends enjoying street food, inspired her journey.
A pivotal moment came with Muslim friends savoring halal Chinese cuisine, sparking her passion. Returning to Singapore, she launched Dajie to share this culinary charm with the Muslim community, blending warmth, family, and the joy of gathering.
